Closing the Jobsite Data Gap: Time Cards, Voice Entry & Crew Location

Getting field data into the system while it is still fresh — what that takes, and what BidSync AI does today.

The jobsite data gap

Estimates live in software. Field reality lives in notebooks, phone photos, and foremen’s heads. The gap between them is where margin disappears. Closing it means making field entry cheap.

Voice as an input

Typing on a phone with gloves on is slow. BidSync AI’s voice entry uses the browser’s built-in speech recognition, so it works in browsers that provide it (Chrome and Edge, for example) and not in those that do not. An AI parser then turns the transcript into log fields that the foreman checks before saving.

Crew location, opt-in

A crew member can turn on location sharing; while it is on and the page is open, the phone’s position is sent to a project map. It stops when the page closes — a browser tab cannot track in the background.

From actuals to cost

Time cards are entered against cost codes, and job cost compares them with the budget. That is the basis for any forecast: actuals that arrive daily instead of at month end.
